"I purchased my DSC W220 about 2 months ago, so i feel comfortable giving a DSC W220 review. if you want a high quality, point and shoot camera that is user friendly and shoots excellent pictures, this camera is for you!.

It is understandable that the video capture is just "o.k", as this is for taking pictures not video. Actually, the video is better than average if shot indoors with adequate lighting.

I constantly find myself going between HD and SD , because it is so easy to do. With the DSC W220, users have the ability to shoot HD images in 16:9 format for watching on big screen HD tv's.

I have messed around doing that quite alot, and the shots are almost always crystal clear. I own a 50" Samsung HDTV, and my pictures NEVER appear grainy no matter how big I make them!

I am really quite thrilled with my DSC W220 camera, and would recommend it to people shoppping for a point and shoot camera for less than $200. Although, often times Amazon.com has them for WAY under 200.00!

So far, count me as a satisfied customer. I chose the DSC W220 because I heard that it took great HD photos, had quality optics, 4x optical zoom and I could use it with my other equipment.

This camera is off the charts in photo quality and ease of use. I would definitely give it a five star rating because the burst mode is quite fast and because of all the juicy features.

I am realisitic enough to know that you cannot expect a professional level, full feature set, for a non SLR under $200. Amazing Value for the dollar. I almost bought the sd1200is, and was considering the sd990is, but I stayed loyal to Sony."

I am a plastic surgeon, and needless to say, cameras are an integral part of the tools we use. I select and buy all our cameras. About 7 months ago, I made a major effort to see if I could save money on cameras, yet preserve quality and durability. After testing at least 15 cameras, I chose the Sony DSC W220. I simply could not find any camera better for the money!

We actually bought some of the cameras to give them a thorough test, we decided to stay with Sony, because it is user friendly and relaiable. After reading the reviews we picked the DSC W220, and now all our surgery and skin graphing cameras are DSC W220.

We are thrilled, they are very simple to use and provide us with amazingly detailed pictures. Each camera shoots approximately 900 pictures a month, and they have held up beautifully!. We have had no issues, and even staff members that are photographically challenged have been taking excellent shots!

I received my DSC W220that I bought from Amazon very quickly, and it came in very good condition. It works wonderfully, and is a super point and shoot camera. It is SO simple to operate and very sturdily built. The first day I had it, I dropped it twice, and it had no ill effects. The pictures almost look like a professional shot them, and believe me, I am no professional!
